At Team LiveCube, we believe that
all people have tremendous potential for mental growth throughout the course
of their lives. To stay mentally sharp it is important to develop these skills
all through life. As we all know this is a difficult task. LiveCube is poised
to meet this challenge. Creative Learning through playing.
What is Creative Learning?
LiveCube engages children in coming up with their own way of solving a problem.
In this case a puzzle problem. Other than just simply solving the puzzle LiveCube
can engage children by allowing them to see spatial placement and common math
equations as an actual 3D representation as opposed to just numbers on paper.
What better way to show them volume or area. Creative Learning is about learning
why the equations works instead of just encouraging kids to memorize problems
and sequences. Many times the most difficult task in teaching is to get the
students´ attention long enough so that they will listen. Teachers are
constantly inventing ways to grab these kids´ attention. LiveCube can
engage children and help meet this challenge. What better way to learn then
to offer something engaging such as playing. LiveCube is the tool you can use
to do just that. As the recipient of numerous awards and use in over 60 school
districts nationwide LiveCube for Kids and Parents has proven to be effective.
The new LiveCube is extremely versitile & quite a departure from it´s
3D Pentominoes cousin. Take a look at our information and product line to decide
which is right for you.
LiveCube:
DNA is the building block of life. This simple component can yield such variety
& complexity. Start with something simple and depending on how you arrange
the components it can form something as simple as bacteria or as complex as
animals. LiveCube is to cube puzzles as DNA is to life (hence the name). LiveCube
can make all cube puzzles by simple methods of snapping cubes in place. The
cubes come apart after assembly so it is completely reusable.
Pentominoes:
LiveCube for Kids and Parents is our 3D Pentominoes game that is suitable for
children as young as preschool. We start off by letting the children play by
having them make simple flat 2D patterns. It teaches the children to start recognizing
shapes. Exercising the brain this way allows the children to recognize the same
shape even if it´s a different color, flipped over, or turned upside down.
Next we throw in some creativity by associating names and characters to each
shape to help children understand symbology (important for developing language
skills as well as math such as when using variables). From 2D we then ease children
into the realm of 3D by taking the 2D shapes and arranging them so that not
all of them are flat against a surface. With this we are developing the children´s
spatial recognition skills. With this training they can easily visualize idea
& concepts in 3D.
